Ate there last night on our way back from Kennedy space center. The cashier was great very personable that was the best of our experience . The food was Luke warm empty containers of food everywhere. I watched a waitress pick up some plates from a lady then drop chicken bones on the floor and just walk away. Matter of fact the lady at the table finally picked them up after ten minutes. The area around the food was very dirty. All the desserts looked like they were cut up yesterday and put out. Brown apples, cake that looked like it was thrown on the plate. Won't be eating at that one anytime soon.

First time eating here and I was impressed! Lots of variety and everything was hot and fresh. The food was delicious and the deserts were out of this world. What really makes this place stand out though are people like our server named Rita. She was so sweet and most helpful! We need more people like her in the restaurant industry!

I LIVE HERE. HA I'd sleep there if I could. Ha We're there about 3 times per week!! Love the corn on cob ! Love there chicken The drum sticks goes fast!! Love the beets with the onions !!! Love the green beans!! Wish they would have tuna salad. ( Orlando one does) Wish they bring back tomato soup!! It's a GREAT place for a cheap price !!

Maybe it was just a lucky day but this has been the best Golden Corral I've ever been to in my life hands down ! The staff was friendly and very attentive . The food tasted SO fresh and it was very clean inside and around the food .It's located conveniently off 95 and id a great place for a pit stop.

Well this is the Famous Golden Corral that made Youtube & the Local News for food being stored outside by the dumpster. The food was somewhat decent but unfortunately cold. The glass I was given with sweet tea was dirty. It had finger prints on the inside formed out of some kind of dried white stuff, gross. I showed it to the waitress who apologized and replaced it. I noticed when I got back to my table the knife & spoon I had grabbed both had hard dried food on them. Seems to be a problem with doing the dishes. On my second trip to the Buffet i was looking at the food when right in front of me an employee reached bare handed into the fried fish grabbing a piece cupping it in his hand. I watched him as he walked right behind the Manager heading back into the kitchen unnoticed. Unfortunately it seems they still need to work on a few things.

I used to enjoy Golden Corral every so often. In my opinion Golden Corral was of the better buffet joints. This recently opened Port Orange location changed that. The food is mediocre, and the staff is often rude. Also not sure if it's a new thing or just at this location, but you can't sit where you want anymore. They tell you where to sit, and twice I was seated near the restrooms. No thanks!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Golden Corral was coming to Port Orange. The available selection of choices ranges from multiple varieties of ethnic cuisine, a great selection of meats, and a nice dessert bar. The staff is very friendly and with your dinner, you are offered unlimited coffee, hot chocolate, or hot tea for free. I would not recommend bringing children because they are constantly announcing over the PA system that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The price was higher than others $11.99 dinner but the building is really new,,its the biggest golden corral I ever saw. very clean,,bigger selection of food compared to all the others I went to. steak wasn't as good as others,,but the food was high quality,and the staff was cheery. we will definitely go back.

Food was nasty, cold and had little flavor. Poor service and it was expensive. Then there is the dumpster video, dirtbag posted it but it's probably true. I would not endanger my family's health by ever going back. They should have been shut down for violations of food safety.
I have been here several times since opening. I have to say it is hit or miss with the service sometimes it can be fantastic other times, I am left to wonder if I am supposed to find my own drinks. Food is okay, If you go, don't go when they are in the middle of changing foods because your left with a very small selection. However the dessert bar is good and love the chocolate fountains. Also they do offer hot coffee for free with your meal. so I will add another star for that.

I had a mixed but pleasant experience at Golden Corral. Pros: excellent meat selection. For a buffet restaurant, having roasted turkey, steak, baked fish with hush-puppies, four kinds of fried shrimp, and fried chicken is pretty amazing for the price. We were impressed the variety of healthy options like fresh strawberries for desert and the many vegetables to choose from for dinner. They have a complete salad bar with lots of fresh toppings. Lastly, the service was excellent and our server really stayed on top of our drinks. Cons: The grilled cheese was hard as a brick and had all the cheese in a tiny lump in the middle. I don't know what it tasted like so I can't vouch for that, but my guess is a cheesy crouton. The beef quesadilla were not toasted (likely microwaved) and tasted like they were out for awhile. Didn't finish that. The bourbon chicken didn't taste like it had any bourbon in it and some pieces were entirely fat. Disclaimer: I tried to test a variety of the options but opted to skip some of the questionable items like meatloaf or meatballs. The mexican food looked inedible and very manufactured. Maybe it would have tasted amazing but it didn't look like a good idea. Overall: The food is hit-and-miss but the wins are big and the fails are small. It's definitely worth the price and you can easily eat a healthy dinner there and still enjoy a little bit of everything.

For a buffet its great! We live here in port orange & still drive to the palm coast one sometimes bc they different selections. but we eat here very frequently. We tried the breakfast last weekend, we went at 730 am right when they opened to beat the rush of people. & I was very pleased with the selection of food!!! Will be trying breakfast again here!!!!!

Just opened in November of 2012. It's bound to get better as they are having growing pains. The food has to improve. No service as this is a buffet and the food is plentiful. Plates are small but you can go back for seconds as many times as you like, if you can stomach the over cooked food. No booze here so liquor - up before you go. I've been here in a number of special occasions, baby showers, birthday parties and parole anniversaries. Although I haven't been to this fine establishment in about a month now ;( , my stomach is growling at the thought of chow'n dow'n one of those juicy "G.C." American made burgers. Watch out TGI Friday's. Yeah, you over there on that sorry excuse they call a road, 5905 S Kirkman Rd to be exact. There's a new sherif in "low quality, asshole for upper management, take that relative you don't spend that much time with" town. His name is Golden Corral, and much like the name implies, it is both golden bright from the fluorescents reflecting off stacks of yellow themed dirty dishes in the back. And also periodically you get whiffs of what smell like horse stables sprinting at your senses. Anyways, I'm rambling, so to sum it up, whatever you order, get it well done...then ask if they could microwave it for about 5 - 10 mins.

I've dined at quite a few Golden Corrals across the country and this one stacks up there with some of the better ones in the categories of quality, service and variety of selections available. Their weekend early bird breakfasts are probably my personal favorite when I'm really famished and they have reasonable pricing as well as decent senior discounts at certain times of the day. It can also be hard to find a parking space here during their peak service hours. In all, my experience at this Golden Corral has been a good one. So if you're hungry and looking for good value, plenty of selections and Himalayan proportions of everything, I believe it's worth your time to check it out. Bon Apetité!
